an old purse (needs to be made of fabric or soft leather - something you can sew through)
assorted pretty facbic
coloured ribbon
buttons
anything else that inspires you!
strong thread (I use beading thread)
needle
scissors

First, you need to cover the purse with your fabric. Start by cutting out a piece of fabric that is big enough to cover the purse. Iron a hem under one end and sew it to the end of the purse, neatly and tightly, now hem and hold around the edges and cut the piece to the correct size. Hem and sew as you go.

Now add beads, buttons, ribbon and whatever else inspires you to make your purse completely unique.
