
The best choc-chip cookies
Ingredients
115 grams butter
100 grams caster sugar
100 grams soft brown sugar
125 mils (1/2 cup) tahini
1 egg + 1 egg yolk
t tbsp vanilla extract
150 grams plain flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
250 grams chopped dark chocolate (or choc-chips)
flaked salt

Method

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature.

Pre-heat a fan-force over to 160°C.

Line baking trays with non-stick sheet or baking paper.

Sift flour with baking powder and soda and set aside.

Cream butter, sugar and tahini well. Slowly add egg and vanilla. Continue beating well.

Add flour mix and choc chips and fold in. Don't over mix at this step.

Place dessert spoon balls of the mix on your trays. Make sure you leave 2-3 inches between each to allow them to spread.

Bake for 10-12 minutes. They should be brown around the edges.

While still hot, lightly sprinkle with salt flakes.
